Hands down the best BBQ in all of Tampa. I have zero complaints. Highly recommend the ribs, pineapple tea, and pound cake.

I've had ribs from all over the world. From Italy to Africa and even the Caribbeans. This place ranks right up there with them all. I don't know what kinda sauce this was on my ribs and chicken, and honestly I do not wanna know. It had to be some secret ingredients not made known to the public. Greens were cooked as if their mortgage was on the line and I loved every drop. The trigg rice was equally as impressive. Everything was absolutely perfect. But what really was mind blowing was that pineapple tea which is perfect for Tampa weather. The staff was nice and had that good 90's BBQ R&B music playing in the background which enhanced the environment. I WILL return if I ever make it back to Tampa.

The 7UP pound cake is from heaven!! I grew up in Savannah, had a lot of great pound cakes, but this.... WWOOOOOOWWWWWW!!!! BBQ is excellent but you know you have a great spot when sides and desserts are just as good.

True, authentic BBQ. The staff was very kind and welcoming and went out of their way to make sure that we were enjoying ourselves while dining. Why go to some corporate restaurant when you can get real food and service at a family-run institution?

No matter when you go there will be a line, but it is well worth the wait. The ribs are better than any of the award winning barbecue restaurants in Texas that I have been to. The chicken and baked beans were also great. Every time I come to town, this is one of the first places I visit and the food is always consistently delicious.

Delicious fresh food, Mac n’ cheese, sausage and ribs to die for, friendly and enthusiastic staff. Actually, the baked beans and potato salad are also fantastic. What a pleasure to meet the owner and generous host, Mr. Konan himself. This restaurant is a real community gem!

Tried this place for the first time tonight. Will definitely be back to try more! This is a local neighborhood BBQ spot. No frills, just damn good food and personable service. Various types of seating available inside and out. I tried the dark chicken dinner with mac and cheese and collard greens and the pineapple tea. The flavors were amazing for everything. I was licking my fingers, lol. The sauce that comes on the chicken has a little spicy kick from behind but it was extremely tasty. My friend got the chopped pork sandwich with the same sides and drink. Our only critique was that the food could've been a little hotter. But even with that being said, we were still very happy with it and can't wait to come back! There's a discount if you pay with cash instead of card.
